Nintendo is one of the world's largest video. A Smash in the Hand Super Smash Bros. Up to four players battle. Nintendo has just wrapped up its big presentation on the Switch, the company’s new hybrid home and portable console. The hour- long show answered all of our biggest lingering questions about the system, includes its price, launch date, and the lineup of games currently in development. We’ve put together all the biggest announcements in one convenient place to keep you up to date. Launch date, price, and bundles. The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3rd, 2. There will be two different packages available, though both will have identical contents. The only difference will be the color of the Joy- Con controllers. In one package, the left and right controller with both be the standard grey color. In the other, one will be the color Nintendo is calling Neon Red, and the other will be Neon Blue. Both bundles include the main Nintendo Switch console, the dock, two Joy- Con controllers, the Joy- Con Grip (which you can snap the Joy- Con controllers onto to make them resemble a more traditional controller), two Joy- Con wrist straps, an HDMI cable, and an AC adapter. The Pro Controller, the standard gamepad, will only be available for purchase separately, at a suggested price of $6. Additional Joy- Con controllers can be purchased in a two- pack for $7. An additional Joy- Con Charging Grip can be purchased for $2. Battery life, storage, and other hardware details. If you’ve heard the Wii U name before but don’t quite know what it’s all about, you’re in the right place. Video game publisher Nintendo has a new home. We’re four weeks away from E3, when we’ll all gather on the internet for that barrage of endorphins that can only come from live video game press conferences full. When the Nintendo Switch is disconnected from the dock, its battery will last between 2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, for example, can be played for up to 3 hours on a single charge, according to Nintendo.
Nintendo just revealed its E3 plans, which are similar to years past. On June 13 at 9am PT, there will be a Nintendo Spotlight presentation for Switch games. The Nintendo Official Website is the home of the Wii U console and Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS systems, plus new and classic games for all ages. Games are property of their respective owners. Nintendo of America Inc. Headquarters are in Redmond, Washington. The system can also charge without the dock, via a USB Type- C connector on the console and the included AC adapter. In addition, Nintendo confirmed for the first time that the screen on the main Switch console supports capacitive touch. The screen itself is 6. TV at up to 1. 08. The Switch contains 3. GB of internal storage for downloadable games. That’s not a lot, but retail games will come on game cards, meaning they’ll be more portable than CDs and an attractive alternative to downloading your whole collection. For multiplayer games, the Switch can connect to the internet via Wi- Fi, or it can connect locally to up to seven other Switch consoles, for a total of eight. As seen in the reveal video, the Switch can be played in three different configurations. In TV Mode, it’s slotted into the dock, with video outputting to a television and a variety of control options supported. In Handheld Mode, the Joy- Con are attached to the side of the main console’s screen and it’s played like a standard handheld console. In Tabletop Mode, you set the console down to use as a screen, using the built- in kickstand, while holding the controllers. As for the hardware itself? Nintendo hasn’t shared anything beyond that the Switch uses a custom Tegra processor from Nvidia. That means it will likely be noticeably weaker than the Xbox One and Play. Station 4, though exactly how much weaker remains to be seen. Then again, no one expected that slim tablet form factor to pack the oomph of much larger consoles. It’s the games and the unique features that will set the Switch apart. New controller details and HD Rumble. Each Joy- Con controller includes a clickable analog stick, four buttons, a shoulder button, and a special function button. On the right Joy- Con, it’s the Home Button, allowing you to go back to the main menu at any time. On the left Joy- Con, it’s the Capture Button, which allows you to take screenshots and then upload them to social media. Nintendo said that video capture support will be coming too, albeit after launch. When the Joy- Con controllers are detached from the main system, two additional buttons are exposed on the side facing the console. These serve as L and R buttons when you rotate the controller for games that allow two people to play by holding a single Joy- Con controller. In this setup, each player will have four buttons, one analog stick, and two shoulder buttons. The Joy- Con controllers also support a new technology Nintendo is calling “HD Rumble.” The feature offers much more realistic vibrations than ever before. Nintendo described being able to feel individual ice cubes rattling around in a virtual glass, and even being able to feel the glass filling up with water. In addition to conventional controls, both Joy- Con controllers contain and accelerometer and gyroscope, allowing for motion controls similar to the original Wii remote. Don’t worry about throwing them through your TV, though. Included wrist straps can slide onto the controllers, making them easier to grip. By default, the straps are only the standard black color, though color coordinated versions will be sold separately. The right Joy- Con also includes some extra functionality. First is an NFC reader and writer, allowing support for amiibo figures similar to on the Wii U. Second, and more intriguing, is an infrared sensor that can detect motion, shapes, and the distance of objects in front of it. One example offered during the presentation was being able to detect whether a hand is making the “paper,” “scissors,” or “rock” sign, as well as how far away the hand is. The games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: We’ve known the next Zelda was coming to the Switch, but now we know for sure that it will be a launch title, releasing alongside the system on March 3rd, 2. Super Mario Odyssey: Nintendo showed this new Mario game during the initial reveal trailer, but now we know its name, and a few key details about it. In Odyssey Mario leaves the Mushroom Kingdom and travels to new lands on a flying steam boat. Worlds we saw included New Donk City, a version of New York City seemingly populated by normal- looking humans, a Mayan temple–inspired land, a jungle, and a pastel- colored world that appeared to be full of crystals. Nintendo described the game as having a large open world to explore, similar to Super Mario 6. Super Mario Sunshine, but it’s unclear whether the game will feature a true open- world map as we understand it or a hub world with individual levels to access. Oh, and Mario’s hat now has eyes. We don’t know exactly what that means, either. Super Mario Odyssey will launch before the end of 2. Splatoon 2: This sequel to the Wii U’s squid- kid shooter features new weapons, modes, stages, and fashions. Like the first game, Nintendo plans to offer extensive content updates after launch, all free of charge. It’ll be out this summer. Switch: The most unconventional game Nintendo showed off, this title doesn’t even require players to look at the screen. Instead, it’s a party game where two people face off, each holding one Joy- Con controller. The trailer made reference to a Old West–style duel, with players seeing who was quickest on the draw. Other modes listed by Nintendo include “cow- milking competitions” and “a copycat dance- off.” 1- 2- Switch is a launch title, which means it’ll be out on March 3rd. Arms: This wacky fighting game involves characters with extendable arms, punching at each other. Nintendo described it as a mix of a boxing game, since the attacks are technically melee, and a shooter, since you need to aim and launch your punches. It’s played with the Joy- Con controllers disconnected from the system, one in each hand, since it makes full use of the motion controls. The game supports splitscreen, online, and local multiplayer on two connected consoles. While Arms might seem simple and silly, Nintendo touted it as having a lot of depth for hardcore players, with advanced moves, techniques, and strategies to master. It’ll be out sometime this spring. Beyond this highlighted titles, Nintendo also offered shorter glimpses at other games currently in development: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, a port of Bethesda’s fantastic open- world RPG. An installment of EA Sports’ FIFA series, though it’s not clear if it will be a version of the same FIFA 1. EA promises the most immersive, social, and authentic sports game ever to appear on a Nintendo platform. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which Nintendo is calling “the definitive version of” the Wii U racing game. It features all the previous DLC, Splatoon. It’s out April 2. Fire Emblem Warriors, a new take on the popular series being developed by Team Ninja. Dragon Quest X, Dragon Quest XI, and Dragon Quest Heroes I+II, three separate releases from the Square Enix series. The next game in the Shin Megami Tensei series of RPGs from Atlus, though this particular game is still untitled. Project Octopath Traveler, a new RPG from Square Enix that blends retro- style pixel art and 3. D graphics. Snipperclips – Cut it out, together!, a new puzzle game centered around cutting out and rearranging shapes. Interestingly enough, it supports up to four players in cooperative play. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a sequel to the Wii U RPG. It’ll be out before the end of 2. A new game from Suda. Grasshopper Manufacture starring Travis Touchdown of No More Heroes fame. The quirky Suda said the game is still early—it doesn’t even have a title—but noted that he was inspired by tag- team matches in pro wrestling. Steep, Ubisoft’s recently launched open- world extreme winter sports game. Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, an update of the Ubisoft platformer. Just Dance 2. 01. Ubisoft dancing game. Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, an update of the classic fighting game with new characters Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Rime, the formerly PS4- exclusive indie game from Tequila Works. Super Bomberman RPuyo Puyo Tetris, a cult hit puzzle game. Sonic Mania, the upcoming retro- inspired sequel starring everyone’s favorite hedgehog. Syberia 3. The Arcade Archives line of retro ports. NBA 2. K1. 8Disgaea 5 Complete. Fast RMX, a sequel to Wii U racing game Fast Racing Neo. Redout, another futuristic racing game inspired by F- Zero. Skylanders Imaginators. Online Spanish websites offer many more options than learning the language through the traditional classroom and lab options. And the websites are a much better option than downloading Spanish activities to your desktop. Today students can get access to vocabulary lists, exercises, podcasts, videos and online tutors by subscribing to a Spanish learning website. To learn more, read our articles about learn Spanish online. Three providers emerge among the best: Nu. Lengua, Living Language and Instituto Exclusivo. When selecting the right Spanish learning website, you will need to make these decisions before selecting a Spanish learning website: First determine your Spanish learning level. Consider a website that offers a placement test so you know whether you’re beginning, intermediate or advanced. Decide how much time you can set aside to study Spanish. When learning a language, it isn’t good enough to simply look at something once a week for several hours. The smartest thing to do is to set a small amount of time aside every day. You’ll learn faster that way. Select the particular dialect you want to learn. If you’re going to Spain, don’t study Spanish from Central America. You’ll find the language and culture are different. Start immersing yourself in the Hispanic world. Go down to the local bodega and practice the Spanish vocabulary you know. Also, consider buying some Spanish music to play. Try to understand the words. Before enrolling in a class at the local community college, consider the benefits of learning Spanish from a website that combines lots of wonderful options. All of the Spanish learning websites give you an opportunity to sample lessons. Choosing the right one for you will depend on the type of instruction you require. Some use video so you are watching a person talk while you go through the various learning exercises. Try out a few before deciding which to buy. On many of these sites, you can get: Instruction at your own pace – You don’t need to worry about your instructor’s schedule and availability. Spanish learning websites enable you to start at the appropriate place, regardless of the abilities of other students. In addition, you can study in the middle of the night, early in the morning or while on vacation. You set your schedule and if you want to study six hours a day one day and only half an hour the next, it is all well and good. One- on- one instruction – Instead of sharing your teacher with 3. This enables you to make the most of your time when you are using a tutor. Tutor selection – Spanish has many dialects. Not only is there the difference between Spanish from Spain vs. If you choose the correct Spanish learning website, you can choose the dialect you’re interested in learning. Practice with other students – Just because you’re not in a classroom doesn’t mean you can’t talk to the others in your classroom. Many Spanish learning websites offer forums and chats and audio components where you can communicate with other people learning Spanish. Specialized vocabulary – Some Spanish learning websites offer the option of focusing on certain kinds of vocabulary and structures that have to do with fields such as healthcare, construction, and many others. Television shows in Spanish – A few Spanish learning websites feature the option of learning Spanish through watching an interesting telenovela. You can learn the language as you keep up with a television show. Newsletters – Some Spanish learning websites produce newsletters and RSS feeds that are sent to you periodically. This is a wonderful way for you to be reminded that you need to get back to studying Spanish if you haven’t been dedicating yourself to it lately. Remember also that a fun- to- read newsletter or article will pique your interest in the language and culture. What to Look for in Online Spanish Learning Services. Now that you have made some decisions, you can start looking for the Spanish learning website that fits your particular needs. These are some things to consider: Supplemental Material. Some Spanish learning websites offer stories and newsletters. Naturally, you are serious about learning Spanish or you wouldn’t have read this far. But we all need a prod or reminder sometimes. A Spanish learning website that pushes information out to you will keep you on the path to becoming fluent in Spanish, which is why newsletters are so important. Stories allow you to watch a show that uses everyday language in context, helping a student acquire Spanish more readily. Many students say that watching something with a plot and cultural information is highly enjoyable. Audio. In order to perfect your pronunciation, it’s important to be able to hear and be heard. You may prefer to have your pronunciation corrected by a native speaker via audio interaction. In lieu of audio interaction with a tutor, some Spanish learning websites have you record your own voice and then compare what you have said to the voice of a native instructor. Some learners may prefer this since they won’t be embarrassed at having to repeat the same line over and over. Tutoring. Although many exercises can be completed without assistance, when there is a question it is helpful to have the assistance of a dedicated tutor. Most of the Spanish learning websites give you some sort of access to a live instructor (not all however), but some Spanish learning websites permit you to choose the particular tutor you would like to work with. Learning Options. Through forums, students can participate in a dynamic community. Access to other students who are learning Spanish just like you may be beneficial. Additional specializations are also available, such as job- specific training. Since many students study Spanish so that they can do their jobs better, specializations in various careers are available so that the specific vocabulary is covered to help students succeed in their careers. Levels Available/Scope. Some Spanish learning websites have everybody start at the same level. This can be very frustrating for someone who already knows some Spanish. Try to find one that gives you instruction at the level you need it. To start your search for the best online Spanish websites, read our reviews below. Nu. Lengua. For anyone wanting to learn Spanish, Nu. Lengua is a great solution to learning the Spanish language. The Nu. Lengua system is easy to learn, but what made it doubly easy to use is the Live Help available from the About Nu. Lengua page. Any question you might have will get answered immediately. Nu. Lengua boasts of having all native Spanish speakers as tutors and all of them are certified in teaching Spanish. In addition, all of the instruction is done one- on- one in the immersion- style. Nu. Lengua’s curriculum is not locked into a predetermined program. If the tutor or the student decides to skip part of the lesson, this is not a problem. This also means that the student has control over their own instruction. To participate in the Nu. Lengua program, students are walked through how to set up Skype and then they register with Nu. Lengua. Students are then set up to converse with their tutors as if talking via the phone. With Nu. Lengua, students pay for a certain number of credits and when they have used those credits, they simply purchase new ones. When the students are ready, they schedule lessons with the private tutor. If a student prefers a different tutor than the one they are assigned to, they can simply request a different one. Tuition reimbursement is something that some students may be eligible for. Nu. Lengua has information on how to get your classes paid for by your employer. The Nu. Lengua service is for you if you are attracted to the private tutor model of one- on- one lessons. Therefore Nu. Lengua is not the place to go if you want all kinds of printed materials, CDs, DVDs, newsletters and extensive online features. Instead of meeting with a tutor in person, you talk to your tutor over Skype. The focus of the interaction is on live conversation with an instructor who is skilled at teaching and an expert in the subject matter. Although many of the products on the market offer many different kinds of ways to interact with tutors, being able to speak to a native speaker is clearly the best way to learn a language. Nu. Lengua doesn’t simply offer this as an option; rather communicating through Skype with the tutor is the central functionality of the program. Nu. Lengua’s website has very explicit and easy- to- understand directions on how to get connected to Skype. And they step you through all you need to do to get connected with the private tutor. If, at any time, the student gets lost, there is a Live Chat option available with an employee that can step the student through any difficulty they might have. Because Nu. Lengua uses tutors, there is no need for audio recording, because the audio interaction occurs live. Having a real person instruct the student is a very unique option that Nu. Lengua offers. Nu. Lengua’s tutors actually live in Guatemala and are certified in teaching Spanish. In fact, you can get on Nu. Lengua’s website and read a mini bio of each of their tutors. They have varied backgrounds and are varied ages. You will find that not all of them are actually from Guatemala but they are native Spanish speakers. Nu. Lengua encourages their tutors to use all of the options available on the internet. This means that if there are lessons available elsewhere via the internet, the student can request to work on that activity with the tutor. Not all of the tutors are bilingual. This gives the learner the opportunity to make themselves understood completely in Spanish without relying on the tutor’s ability to understand them in English. On the other hand, for those just starting out in Spanish, the ability to select a bilingual tutor will be a benefit. Best Certified Manager Study Guide. Mometrix Test Preparation - 3. Phelan #1. 79 - Beaumont, TX 7. How to Pass the Certified Manager (CM) Examination, using our easy step- by- step Certified Manager Test study guide, without weeks and months of endless studying.. Dear Friend. On a beautiful late spring afternoon, this past year, a young woman received the devastating news. She had just gotten back her result on the Certified Manager Test. It was not what she had hoped for. In fact, it was not even close to the expectations she had considering her past experience and educational background. I just want to thank you again, and hope you have continued success in your ventures. I used the Secrets study guide for five days. The study guide made the test so easy to understand. Like you said this program is worth 1. I bought the guide as a last minute prep, I mean maybe 5 hours before the test. Like I said, I had ZERO preparation! I was nervous about the test let alone receiving the score I needed. I read the guide through only once before test time and needless to say, the only way I passed was thanks to your refresher!! Brian. I heard about your website from a friend. I am enrolled in a review course, and in hindsight, I wish I wouldn't have taken my review course and instead spent a fraction of the money on your program. In our opinion, these are the 6 criteria you should always look for in a study guide for the Certified Manager Test. One: The guide must be written by writers who have painstakingly researched the topics and concepts needed to succeed on the Certified Manager Test. The blind cannot hope to lead the blind. If the material was the only thing that was important, then every test taker that understood the material should get a perfect score- that doesn't happen because there's a difference between simply knowing what's on the test and the way you perform on the test. You want a study guide to close that gap. If the guide is hard to read, the time spent studying will be slow and painful, and the results will be meager. Joseph Juran. Affinity Diagram. Ritter initially bought the property to keep his four sons and daughter safe from the “many wild and rowdy inhabitants of Virginia City.”The land was lush with springs and even attracted some gold mining claims. Ritter and his son Herman used the ranch for their own food and to sell vegetables in Virginia City. In the 1. 96. 0s, the ranch was leased to family friends who took over its operation. Now, Lorraine Dodge’s daughter Michelle, and her husband Jack Spencer Jr., have assumed the ranching and farming. The Triple S Ranch was named to honor past and present family members—Sullivan, Savery and Spencer—who envisioned the property as a place for future agricultural production. Jack and Michelle Spencer, along with their sixth- generation boys, Hunter and Chase Archer, carry on the tradition of ranching and farming by immersing themselves into the production of cattle, sheep, bees and pasture land. Luxand Technologies Help Couples Generate Pictures of Their Babies. Couples spend hours discussing what their baby would look like. Will the baby look more like her mom or dad? Studying family photo albums and trying to collate pictures could help concerned couples during the last century. Today, there is a better, simpler and more precise alternative. Baby Morphing, a new technology developed by Luxand, helps parents, couples and friends to see what their baby would look like based on their pictures alone. The technology only needs photos of the couple’s faces to generate a quality picture of their baby. Yet, Baby Morphing does not stop there, and allows making pictures of babies by taking only one photograph and mixing it with a stock photo of a celebrity or a member of a dating site, depending on the application. Who and Why Uses Baby Morphing. Family- oriented Web sites can offer couples a free peek into the future of a family, allowing them to see how their baby would look like. Celebrity sites would allow visitors realize their fantasies of having a baby from their crush. Dating services and marriage agencies add value to their services by allowing visitors have some extra unique fun. Baby Morphing is truly universal in its applications as the technology is fully automated, and works without any human interaction. Technology Background. The Baby Morphing technology revolutionizes the way in which baby’s pictures are generated. The technology generates high- resolution, high- quality faces of babies from facial shots of a couple of people. Baby Morphing provides consistent quality results that do not depend on the quality of the pictures of the parents. Instead of simply mixing the faces or morphing one picture into another half way as virtually all competing technologies do, Baby Morphing works in a different, unique fashion. Baby Morphing detects faces of the parents on the two pictures, recognizes their facial features and classifies characteristic features of each face. After that, the technology generates a picture of a baby’s face by averaging those characteristics. Baby Morphing always provides results of the highest quality regardless of the quality of the parents’ pictures. European Ship Simulator Free Download FULL PC Game. These companies, called institutional investors, include mutual funds, hedge funds, insurance companies, independent money managers, and nonprofit organizations with large endowments, such as some universities. Sell- side analysts advise financial services sales agents who sell stocks, bonds, and other investments. Some analysts work for the business media or other research houses, which are independent from the buy and sell side. Financial analysts generally focus on trends affecting a specific industry, geographical region, or type of product. For example, an analyst may focus on a subject area such as the energy industry, a world region such as Eastern Europe, or the foreign exchange market. If You're Going to Go Gluten Free Don't Be Dumb About It. Gluten is incredible for its ability to piss off a diverse spectrum of people: Folks who are giving it up for a diet, folks who say it’s stupid to give up gluten, and folks with celiac disease who probably just wish they could avoid their symptoms and their gluten in peace. A team of researchers is trying to add data to the question of whether or not a gluten- free diet has health benefits, with a new study that analyzes questionnaires filled out by over a hundred thousand people. They’ve concluded that those who don’t suffer from celiac disease or a wheat sensitivity shouldn’t avoid gluten. They think there may even be harm in doing so—but others aren’t so sure about that.“There’s a lot of interest in the lay public regarding gluten free diet,” study author Andrew Chan from Harvard Medical School told Gizmodo. But that hasn’t been critically examined.”The dataset the authors used in the paper, published today in the British Medical Journal, wasn’t specifically collected to study gluten- free diets. Around 6. 5,0. 00 women from the Nurses Health Study, which started in 1. Health Professional’s Follow- up Study that started in 1. The researchers estimated the participants’ gluten intake based on the answers to the questionnaire, and compared those estimates to the incidence of coronary heart disease. Their estimates showed that a lower- gluten diet was not associated with a lower chance of disease. But when they made another tweak to their analysis, analyzing the subjects for differences in their whole grain intake, they found that more gluten consumption was associated with a lower risk of heart disease—possibly because people weren’t getting the benefits from eating whole grains.“It raised the possibility that if you adhere long term to a gluten free diet, then you miss other essential nutrients and that might have a negative effect,” said Chan. Other nutritionists agreed with the assessment that you shouldn’t adopt a gluten free diet if you don’t have to. She says that this study adds clarity to whether this sort of fad diet has benefits. Alessio Fasano, Chair of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Massachusetts General Hospital and celiac disease expert, agreed that gluten free diets are unnecessary for those who don’t suffer from celiac disease or a non- celiac wheat sensitivity. But he didn’t find the study’s results compelling. The Audi S5 was released in coupé form to the public at the same time as the A5. The first generation Audi A4 (known internally as the Typ 8D) debuted in October 1994, with production starting November 1994 and European sales commencing in January. He pointed out that the datasets, though large, are not intended to study gluten- free versus gluten- filled diets. He compared the study to trying to build a boat with motorcycle parts. He agrees with his study’s results and its conclusion, that gluten- free diets don’t have cardiovascular benefits and could lead to worse health from fewer whole grains. But Lebwohl points out that “more research is necessary to determine additional future health implications of a gluten- free diet in people without celiac disease or non- celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity.”So, what should you do? Trump’s Likely Federal Family Planning Pick Is Anti- Contraception, Pro Threesomes With God. Donald Trump is reportedly adding another member to his administration that wants to see the destruction of the program that they’ve been charged with leading. Politico reports that Teresa Manning, an anti- contraception activist, will oversee the budget for the federal family planning program. Manning has previously said that “family planning is what occurs between a husband and a wife and God.”Over the weekend, our President- elect fingered South Carolina congressman Mick Mulvaney to lead the . As deputy assistant secretary for population affairs, Manning would oversee around $2. Title X federal family planning program. The program was founded in 1. U. S. In a 2. 00. Manning noted that pro- choice advocates “promote contraception and birth control as a way to reduce the incidence of abortion. There really is no evidence to support that. In fact, the incidence of contraception use and the incidence of abortion go up hand in hand.” Of course, Manning is just making shit up when she says that. A 2. 01. 2 study from Washington University School of Medicine found that access to free birth control cuts abortion rates by a range of 6. And as access to contraception has spread across the U. S., abortion rates are at the lowest they’ve been since the supreme court’s decision in Roe v. Wade. Manning will have science- denying company at HHS. According to NPR, “Seventy percent of those patients had income below the federal poverty line; two- thirds had no health insurance.”To be clear, Title X does not provide funding to clinics that offer abortions as a method for family planning. It does offer birth control, tests for cervical and breast cancer, and tests for STDs. By the way, Yoest believes abortion increases the risk of breast cancer. When the New York Times pressed her for any scientific data regarding that claim, “Yoest would only refer back to the pro- life obstetricians she trusts and later declared that the scientific establishment ? A 2. 0 engine with Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) was also available. A year later, Audi reintroduced the S4, now powered by a 3. PS (2. 53 k. W; 3. L V8 engine, as well as an A4 Cabriolet convertible variant (Typ 8. H), finally replacing the 8. Audi Cabriolet which had been discontinued in 2. It included an electro- hydraulic operated roof, which lowered in under 3. Audi introduced a continuously variable transmission developed by Lu. K, named multitronic, which replaced the dated conventional automatic transmission on front- wheel drive models. The transmission won considerable praise from the automotivepress, and is generally regarded. However, there have been widespread complaints from consumers around the world that the transmission box is prone to electronic glitches as well as mechanical problems. The rear light assemblies now formed part of the top line, these styling cues were eventually borrowed by other European as well as Asian manufacturers. It included aluminium interior trim and door sills, . This new range A4 utilised the existing Volkswagen B6 (PL4. B6, but revised steering settings, suspension geometry. The front grille assembly changed to a tall trapezoidal shape in the same manner as the C6 (third- generation) Audi A6. Audi's internal platform nomenclature uses PL4. B6 and B7 chassis. The Typ 8. E and Typ 8. H internal designations are also carried over from the B6 A4 range, but now have an additional identifying suffix – 8. EC for the saloon, 8. ED for the Avant, and 8. HE for the Cabriolet. The engine lineup received many additions. The 2. 00. 5 introduction of Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) on the 2. TFSI and 3. 2 V6 FSI petrol/gasoline engines, as well as other refinements, increased power output to 2. PS (1. 47 k. W; 1. PS (1. 88 k. W; 2. These engines both use a four- valve per cylinder configuration. The prior 5- valve design was incompatible with the FSI direct injection system (due to the siting of the fuel injector, now discharging directly into the combustion chamber). The 2. 0 Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine now combined Pumpe D. A 2. 7 V6 TDI was added later. Torsen T- 2 based quattro permanent four- wheel drive remained as an option on most A4 models. Audi retired its 5- speed manual transmissions in favour of a new Getrag 6- speed. As before, multitroniccontinuously variable transmission (CVT), now with selectable 'seven- speeds', was an option on front- wheel drive models, whilst a conventional ZF6. HP 6- speedtiptronicautomatic transmission was an option on the quattro four- wheel drive models. In addition to the Audi S4, which carried over the powertrain from the B6 S4 – Audi reintroduced the quattro Gmb. H developed Audi RS4 (RS for Renn. Sport) to the lineup, for the first time on the saloon/sedan and Cabriolet body, and with a naturally aspirated, but high- revving 4. V8 FSI engine. This new asymmetric centre differential was initially only available on the RS4, but was added a year later on the S4. The remainder of the B7 A4 range still utilised the T- 2 5. A variant, developed by quattro Gmb. H, was first introduced in May 2. It was inspired from Audi's race cars of the 2. Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and was reintroduced in 2. The 2. 0. T FSI engine received revised software mapping to the ECU, which increased the output to 2. PS (1. 62 k. W; 2. N. It was available with front- wheel drive, or quattro four- wheel drive. The B7 Cabriolet model arrived later than the other two body variants, with sales beginning in February 2. New on the Cabriolet was an entry- level 2. TDI version, but to date, this is not being offered with the multitronic CVT gearbox. In 2. 00. 7 Audi introduced a version of the B7 named the 'Special Edition', which built on the S- Line specification and also included the black optics pack, the RS4 style 8. J X 1. 8 '7- arm double spoke' design alloy wheels, Two- tone Graphite/Black Volterra leather, 3- spoke sports leather/Alcantara multi- function steering wheel with gear knob and hand brake handle in Alcantara with silver stitching, ventilated cross- drilled front disc- brakes, black tailpipes and black roof rails (avant model only). It also had a power increase of 2. PS, giving an output of 2. PS on the 2. 0. T model. According to 2. 00. Swedish vehicle inspection data, the Audi A4 Avant with diesel engine is the most reliable vehicle available on the market, with vehicle inspection rejection rate of 0. The entire Audi B7 A4 production line from Audi's Ingolstadtplant was dismantled and sent to Volkswagen Group's related SEAT factory in Martorell, Spain. The badge simply states 2. T though.^ ab. In 2. DTM Edition. From summer 2. Avant.^There were two different versions – one had an 8 valve cylinder head the other had 1. They had the same power and torque output and performed equally. Customers could not choose directly between those two engines. They got the 1. 6- valve version when they ordered the DPF otherwise they got the 8- valve version. In many countries the DPF became standard equipment for all B7 diesel engines from model year 2. Only available for model year 2. No DPF available for this engine. In 2. 00. 6 replaced by the 2. V6 TDI engine.^ ab. Not available before model year 2. Only available for model year 2. In 2. 00. 6 replaced by a stronger version of the same engine. The Audi A4 offers many standard safety features, including Bosch ESP 8. |
